Here we offer a peek at a few of the moorings that await you on the Lancaster Canal. Together with information about facilities available at each spot.

This spot is close to Tewitfield Marina. Plenty of space on the towpath, with a picnic bench, fields of sheep, and only 5 minutes walk from the Longlands pub and Greenlands Farm Village. Easy access to the Lake District on the 555 bus. A beautiful rural mooring.

Carnforth is a small town. Here you have easy access to supermarkets, cash machines, banks, a park, swimming pool and other useful amenities. There is also a good sanitary station here. Be sure to pay a call to the Austrian Cafe for delicious Apple Strudel complete with lederhosen! Or take a trip out to Leighton Moss Nature Reserve, Arnside, or Grange-Over-Sands on the train.

There are several places to moor up at Bolton-Le-Sands, all are within walking distance of several pubs, a chip shop, the infamous potts pies and an award winning Balti House. The moorings are quiet and fairly rural. If you feel like exploring, the shore isn't far and you can get a great cream tea at The Bay garden centre, or head out in search of the giant pig and home baked cakes at Archers.

Here the moorings look out over Morecambe Bay's famous sunsets. A really pretty spot and only a few minutes from the shore. Here you'll find a shop, several cafes, a chippy and an indian take-away. Morecambe Promenade is only a short walk from Hest Bank, or you can catch the no.5 bus all the way into Morecambe for some seaside fun.
